The philosophy at Allegro Design is simple — to do work that matters and to do it well. Doing work that matters means working with businesses that have a low impact on society — or better yet, a positive impact. Doing it well means taking the time to understand your business, working with the highest integrity, asking a lot of questions, listening and then applying smart thinking.

Good design should be equal parts visually engaging, strategically targeted and responsibly produced. This means:

• Combining striking, relevant aesthetics with high degree of organization.

• Applying deep knowledge of the client's attributes, expertise and values to strategies that have solid outcomes. The goal is to leave clients with communication materials that made the most of their staff resources and budgets, whether it was to increase customer base, gain fundraising dollars, reduce confusion, or promote a positive image.

• Creating honest, clear and accessible messages that respect an audience's intelligence, time and values. Growing sophistication among audiences combined with more information and less time requires a trustworthy, unambiguous message.

• Considering the materials used in the production process. Carefully chosen formats, vendors, paper and printing options affect dollars spent and impact on the environment.
